The Buzz is a regular summary of housing market news and data driving our decision-making at BlueBid.
Here's the Buzz for the week of April 15, 2025:
According to Fannie Mae, a panel of more than 100 housing experts forecasts home price growth of 3.4% in 2025. For context, home prices rose 5.8% in 2024.
Redfin says homebuyer demand improved last week, but the increased odds of a recession are likely to suppress homebuying sentiment in the near-terms.
U.S. News & World Report offers tips on how to sell your home while living in it.
Zillow announced it will ban listings from its website which have been previously marketed by agents to limited audiences, according to Yahoo Finance. The move seemingly takes aim at brokerages pushing the envelope on private listings and office exclusives while also participating in - and benefitting from - the MLS. Drama around MLS rules and the Clear Cooperation Policy has been brewing for years, and it's something we wanted nothing to do with when we decided to build BlueBid. As a non-MLS participant directly engaging pre-market homeowners, we're committed to remaining above (or before?!?) the fray.
Have a great week.
